CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

Choose the programs which interest you and join us for a real ed-venture at the zoo.  Classes are held in the African Huts across from the rhino house.

Teachers will meet you and your child at the zoo's front entry.

  All programs require advance registration and payment. 

Registrations cannot be accepted by phone.

PRE-SCHOOLERS

Zoosday Tuesday Join us for some zoo-riffic fun at the African Huts across from the Rhino House.  All activities are free with zoo admission and may include crafts, story time, small animal encounters and games.

10:00 a.m. Tuesday 

Registration is not required.

Free with zoo admission.

Zoosday will not meet on December 23 and 30.

4-9 YEAR OLDS

ZooMembers:  $7 per child per class 

Non-members:  $10 per child per class

(These classes will be divided into groups of 4 & 5 year olds and 6-9 year olds)

Fins and Flippers  You'll want to dive right into this ed-venture.

     Saturday, November 15          9:30-11:30 a.m.  

Ponderous Pachyderms  Rhi-know that you'll want to grab your trunk and join us for some great big fun.

     Saturday, January 17            9:30-11:30 a.m. 

Monkey Business  This class is more fun than a barrel of you-know-whats!       

     Saturday, February 28           9:30-11:30 a.m.

SPECIAL CLUBS FOR NATURE NUTS

The Junior Curator's Club is designed for youngsters who are interested in animals and the zoo.  Each meeting will include learning time, animal ed-ventures, time on zoo grounds, experiments and time with zoo staff.

ZooMembers:  $70 for all sessions and overnight 

Non-members:  $85 for all sessions and overnight

Junior Curator's Club is for 12-15 year olds and is a great opportunity for

zookeeper wannabes or those who just want an inside look at the zoo. 

     Club meets on Saturdays   9:00-11:00 a.m. 

          Oct. 11, Nov. 8, Dec. 13, Jan. 10, Feb. 14 

               Overnight March 6-7   6:30 p.m. - 9:00 a.m.
